I’m Huxley. I live at the Sanctuary with my Brother Eddie and Sisters Purdy and Chloe along with all my friends from other Mothers!

My siblings and I were found in a garden when we were around 7 weeks old. We were spotted playing in the garden but we were living inside a hole of an old brick wall. We were so tiny the Sanctuary thought we were only about 4 weeks old but we were eating solid food put out for us and we were quite nifty on our feet. The Sanctuary tried to find our Mummy but there was never any sign of her.

I’m 18 months old now and love life with my Sanctuary friends. I’m very sociable and playful and get on with everyone but I also like to sleep quietly by myself. I’d like a home of my own but I wouldn’t like to be by myself. I’ve lived with my friends for a long time so would like to go to a new home with my Brother Eddie or another friend. If you had a cat already and are looking for a companion then if they were quiet and kind I could think about it as I am easy to get on with.

I love my home comforts and lots of cuddles, I’m a gentle cat and not as boisterous as some of my friends but I do like playing and running around but my home needs to be calm.  I like children but would prefer if they were older, maybe teenagers but if my home was adults only that would be good too, I’d like company though so don’t want to be left all day for hours and hours. I’ve never met a dog so my Sanctuary Mummy says we’d need to just see what any family dog was like and if she thinks it would be OK for me.

I really would like an Indoor Only Home as that’s all I’ve known. If you have a catio or cat proofed garden that would be fun.

I have been neutered and microchipped and I’m up to date with my vaccinations and I’m super easy to give flea and worming treatments to.

I will need a bit of patience while I settle in to a new home as I’ve only ever lived indoors at the Sanctuary and I trust the humans that love and look after me. It might take a little bit of time for me to adjust to a new environment with all the new sounds and smells but once I’m confident I’ll really enjoy sitting with my new owners and will definitely be good company.

If you’d like to learn more about me and see some videos of me playing and getting cuddles message the Sanctuary.
